Attendees will learn the basic principles of successful vegetable gardening, including how to plan and plant the garden, care for the crop, and the basics of harvesting and storing vegetables and herbs along with the basics of problem diagnosis for home-grown vegetables. We’ll also cover the appropriate selection of vegetables for season, location, and conditions.

David Boucher (“boo-SHAY”) has been a Master Gardener for seven years and has been growing his own organic vegetables in San Diego for more than 40 years. David regularly gives talks on successful vegetable gardening, mostly at community gardens. In 2021, his home garden in Ocean Beach was featured on the San Diego Floral Association Garden Tour.
