Class Description

How many trees grow on your property? Not too many, right? Even experienced gardeners sometimes have a hard time identifying trees that they have not grown themselves. In this class, we will learn some specialized terms that will let you use a key to identify trees that are often grown in our region.

Handouts will be provided, but for more information, you may want to purchase A Californian’s Guide to the Trees Among Us by Matt Ritter, who is a professor in the Biology Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
